The Sunshine State is preparing for a double dose of outdoor winter fun.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported on 32 Thoughts: The Podcast that the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning are expected to host outdoor games next season.
The Panthers' game is expected to be played at LoanDepot Park, home of MLB's Miami Marlins.
There is no confirmed location for the Lightning's game yet, though Raymond James Stadium, home of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, appears to be a logical choice.
The state of Florida never has hosted an outdoor NHL game, but the league has played in other warm-weather locations, including Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Chicago's Wrigley Field hosted the most recent outdoor game on Dec. 31.
Ohio Stadium in Columbus will be the site of the league's other outdoor game this season on March 1.
