The Florida Panthers will be without a pair of key forwards for Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens.
Matthew Tkachuk will miss the game due to illness while head coach Paul Maurice also announced that forward Carter Verhaeghe is week to week with an undisclosed injury. Verhaeghe suffered the injury in Monday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Tkachuk has recorded 23 goals and 57 assists in 74 games this season.
Meanwhile, Verhaghe has five points in his last six games to bring his season totals to 33 goals and 38 assists in 75 games.
After Monday's loss to the Maple Leafs, the Panthers now sit just four points up on Toronto for second place in the Atlantic Division. The Maple Leafs also have a game in hand.
