Panthers place Aaron Ekblad, Frank Vatrano in COVID-19 protocol

The Florida Panthers announced that defenceman Aaron Ekblad and forward Frank Vatrano have entered COVID-19 protocols and will not be available for the team’s game against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night.

Ekblad Vatrano and Gus Forsling were not present at the Panthers’ morning skate on Thursday.

The team had only 13 skaters and two goalies for their morning skate.

Five players and one member of the team’s travelling party entered COVID-19 protocols on Wednesday. Sam Bennett, Radko Gudas, Ryan Lomberg, Brandon Montour, Carter Verhaeghe were the players added to protocol and will not not able to play against the Kings.

Los Angeles defenceman Drew Doughty entered the protocol earlier on Thursday.
