The Florida Panthers announced Monday that they have signed forward Jonah Gadjovich to a one-year, one-way contract.
Gadjovich, 25, appeared in 35 games with the San Jose Sharks in 2022-23, scoring three goals and seven points while racking up 57 penalty minutes and 92 hits.
In the team's announcement, general manager Bill Zito said, “Jonah is a physical, highly competitive forward who brings versatility and size to our roster.”
Originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round of the 2017 draft, Gadjovich appeared in one game with the team in 2020-21 before being claimed off waivers by the Sharks.
In 79 career NHL games, the Whitby, Ont. native has 10 points.
After making a run to last year's Stanley Cup Final, the Panthers are 0-2 to open the 2023-24 season after losing on the road to the Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets.
