After 17 seasons in the NHL, Paul Stastny has announced his retirement.
The 37-year-old forward appeared in 1,145 games with the Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, and Vegas Golden Knights. He finished his career with 293 goals and 822 points during the regular season and also added 30 goals and 73 points in 118 Stanley Cup Playoffs games.
Stastny last suited up with the Hurricanes for the 2022-23 season, recording nine goals and 13 assists in 73 games.
Colorado selected Stastny in the second round of the 2005 NHL Draft. He also represented the United States helping his country capture a bronze medal at both the 2013 IIHF World Championships and 2014 Winter Olympics.
