The Pittsburgh Senators have activated goaltender Tristan Jarry and defenceman Jeff Petry from injured reserve, making them available to play Friday against the Ottawa Senators.
The team also announced they have placed defenceman Kris Letang on long term injured reserve retroactive to December 28th.
Jarry has been sidelined since suffering a lower-body injury at the Winter Classic game against the Boston Bruins on Jan. 2. The Penguins went 3-3-1 without their starting goaltender in his seven-game absence.
Petry, the 35-year-old blueliner, has been out since Dec. 13th when he suffered an upper-body injury against the Buffalo Sabres. He has three goals and 12 points in the 28 games he's played for the Penguins this season.
Letang, the six-time All Star, was placed on LTIR retroactive to December 28th, when he suffered a lower-body injury against the Detroit Red Wings. He remains with the team and is practicing in a non-contact jersey.
