Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry "made a big jump," but remains day-to-day and will not play Wednesday against the New York Rangers, head coach Mike Sullivan said.
Sullivan also noted that Penguins forward Rickard Rakell is day-to-day and remains out of the lineup, while defenceman Brian Dumoulin has not yet skated.
Jarry took part in the Penguins' optional morning skate on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a broken foot on April 14. The 27-year-old had previously skated alone for the first time on Saturday, before facing shots on Monday.
In his absence, and the subsequent injury to backup Casey DeSmith, third-stringer Louis Domingue has stepped up with a 3-1 record to help the Penguins to a 3-1 series lead.
Rakell, who took a hit from Rangers defenceman Ryan Lindgren in Game 1 and hasn't played since, also skated for the second day in a row Wednesday morning.
The Penguins visit the Rangers in Game 5 with a chance to wrap up the first-round series Wednesday night on Sportsnet. Game begins at 7 p.m. ET.
