Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Kris Letang has a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 and will be away from the team while he completes protocols.
Head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed the news Monday.
Letang missed Saturday’s contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs after entering protocols but his status for future games was dependent on further testing.
Penguins centre Jeff Carter is also away from the team while in protocols and goalie Tristan Jarry was briefly sidelined after what turned out to be a false positive test.
