The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed forward Alex Nylander to a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000, general manager Ron Hextall announced Monday.
Nylander, 24, was acquired by the Penguins from the Chicago Blackhawks in January of 2022. In 44 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the club's AHL affiliate, Nylander recorded 16 goals and 32 points.
Nylander was drafted eighth overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2016 NHL Draft. In 84 career NHL games split between the Blackhawks and the Sabres, Nylander scored 13 goals and 32 points.
