The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed forward Sam Poulin to a two-year, $1.55 million contract, the team announced Monday.
Poulin was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
Poulin spent most of the season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League and recorded 16 goals and 31 points in 41 games. He also appeared in three games with Pittsburgh.
The 23-year-old from Blainville, Que., was drafted by the Penguins in the first round, 21st overall, in 2019.
He has recorded one assist in six games with Pittsburgh over the past two seasons.
