The Pittsburgh Penguins have agreed to terms on an entry-level deal with one of their top prospects.
The team announced on Thursday that forward Brayden Yager had signed a three-year, entry-level contract.
Yager, 19, was selected by the Penguins 14th overall in the first round of the 2023 NHL Draft.
He played his entire WHL career with the Moose Jaw Warriors and last season he had career-highs in goals (35), assists (60) and points (95). He helped the Warriors win the WHL championship last season with 27 points in 20 playoff games and added six more points in four games in the Memorial Cup.
A native of Saskatoon, Yager had five points in five games for Canada at the 2024 World Juniors.
