The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenceman Dmitri Samorukov to a one-year contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level, the team announced Tuesday.
Samorukov, 24, has played 15 games this season with the Penguins' AHL affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, recording five points (one goal and four assists).
Drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the third round (87th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft, Samorukov has played three career NHL games — one with the Oilers and two with the St. Louis Blues.
