The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Andreas Johnsson to a one-year, $800,000 deal, the club announced Friday.
Johnsson played in 13 NHL games last season for both the New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks last season. He had 3 assists.
The 28-year-forward has 48 goals and 68 assists in 259 career NHL games.
Johnsson was a seventh-round selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2013 NHL draft. He had the best year of his career in his rookie season with Toronto, where he scored 20 goals and dished out 23 assists.
