The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Josh Currie to a one-year, two-way contract worth an average annual value of $700,000 in the NHL.
Currie, 27, played in 56 games during the 2019-20 campaign with the Bakersfield Condors, the Edmonton Oilers’ AHL affiliate. He recorded 24 goals and 41 points.
The Charlottetown, P.E.I., native has played in 21 career NHL games, all in 2018-19 with the Oilers, recording two goals and five points.
