The Pittsburgh Penguins are signing winger Noel Acciari to a three-year, $6-million deal, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
The deal reunites Acciari with former Toronto Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas, who traded for Acciari while with Toronto last season, and now brings the valuable depth winger to Pittsburgh, for whom Dubas now serves as president of hockey operations.
Acciari has logged eight years in the NHL, splitting time between Boston, Florida, St. Louis and Toronto. The 31-year-old has collected 59 goals and 100 points over that span, through 384 total NHL games.
He put up 14 goals and 23 points last season for the Blues and Maple Leafs, emerging as an important presence for the latter club after joining Toronto at the trade deadline.
Acciari's new deal brings a raise on the $1.25 million he earned last season, as Dubas once again acquires the hard-hitting winger.
