The Nashville Predators are close to signing a one-year deal with restricted free agent Juuso Parssinen, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The Finnish centre is coming off his three-year entry-level deal, having been selected in the seventh round by the Predators in 2019. The deal is reportedly worth $775,000.
That salary would be a step down for the 23-year-old, whose previous contract had an AAV of $925,000, according to PuckPedia.com.
Parssinen has played parts of two seasons with the Predators, collecting 14 goals and 23 assists in 89 NHL games. He had 25 points in 36 AHL games last season in Milwaukee.
