Nashville Predators defenceman Spencer Stastney exited Game 3 against the Vancouver Canucks with an upper-body injury after taking a big hit from Canucks forward Dakota Joshua.
Stastney was on the receiving end of the hit from Joshua early in the first period. Initially, the play was deemed to be a major penalty but was downgraded to a two-minute minor upon review.
The 24-year-old defenceman went to the locker room immediately following the hit. Though he did return to the game briefly, he would ultimately be sidelined for the remainder of the game. He logged 6:36 of ice time in total.
Through the first two games of the series, Stastney has been held pointless but is a plus-one. In the regular season with the Predators, he had two goals and two assists across 20 games and was a plus-nine.
