Could a Logan Paul vs. Evander Kane bout be in the works?
After the San Jose Sharks winger threw down the gauntlet over the weekend at his brother, Jake, Logan Paul — an Internet lightning rod who’s been embroiled in controversy for filming a dead body in Japan’s “suicide forest,” tasing dead rats on video and has a history of racist and insensitive comments — accepted his challenge.
“Evander Kane? San Jose Sharks? Now what is that exactly? Some sort of fish? An aquatic animal who lives in San Jose?” Paul chirped on his podcast.

Who do you think would win a boxing match between these two?

“Sure, put him on the list. I’ll do it,” he continued.
“We’ll go through it again, I’ll put a quarter-million down this time.”
Kane was quick to send his own barbs back in response.

“Logan Paul? I’ll take the mop off your head and wipe the floor with ya,” said Kane.
The exchange didn’t stop there, of course, as Paul and Kane continued to trade Twitter jabs as each tried to get in the final word.

Kane doesn’t appear to be picky about who he goes up against between Logan and Jake Paul telling TMZ Sports that he will fight either one.
“I’ll take on any Paul brother,” Kane said. “I don’t care who it is. Either one of you can get it.”
Jake Paul defeated ex-NBA player Nate Robinson over the weekend as he knocked out the former three-time dunk contest champion in the second round. Jake Paul has now won both of his career fights.
Kane was not a fan of how Paul celebrated his victory over Robinson considering the former NBA player does not have formal boxing training. He also believes that the fight would be a big draw to a different demographic of fans.
“Jake, you left me unread, Logan you’re questioning my chin. There’s only one way to find out, you got to test me out. I’m read when you are.” Kane said about any final message to the Paul brothers.
In Kane — who is named after famous boxer Evander Holyfield — Logan Paul is likely to find a tougher opponent. The 29-year-old clocks in at six-foot-two and 210 pounds and is the son of former amateur boxer Perry Kane. In the NHL, he has a reputation as a feisty player with 21 career fights to his name, per Hockey Fights.
Correction: A previous version of this story misidentified Logan Paul as his brother, Jake Paul.
