The New York Rangers acquired defenceman Chad Ruhwedel from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a fourth-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft, the team announced Friday.
Ruhwedel, 33, has one goal and three assists for four points in 47 games with the Penguins this season.
The San Diego native has 13 goals and 36 assists for 49 points in 359 career games with the Penguins and Buffalo Sabres.
Ruhwedel has appeared in 25 career post-season games, winning a Stanley Cup in 2017.
Ruhwedel was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Sabres in 2013 after three years at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
