Luck hasn’t been on Arthur Kaliyev's side this season.
The New York Rangers announced Tuesday that the 23-year-old forward will miss the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs due to an upper-body injury.
Kaliyev sustained the injury on March 11 when the Rangers took on the Winnipeg Jets. He has since missed the team's last three games.
Claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings in January, Kaliyev missed the first few months of the season after breaking his clavicle during training camp in September.
He had one goal and one assist in five games this season with the Kings' AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign, before joining the Rangers. In 14 games with New York, he recorded three goals and one assist.
The 33rd overall pick from the 2019 draft, Kaliyev has 75 points (35 goals and 37 assists) across his 202 career NHL games.
Currently on a one-year, $825,000 deal, he is set to be a restricted free agent this off-season.
