Rangers' Matt Rempe out vs. Maple Leafs due to illness

The New York Rangers lineup just got a little less intimidating.

Hulking forward Matt Rempe was ruled out of Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs due to illness, the Rangers announced shortly before puck drop.

Rempe, 22, has played in 34 games this season, recording five points (two goals, three assists), 54 penalty minutes and three fights.

His one-time Maple Leafs dance partner, forward Ryan Reaves, is no longer with the team after being sent down to the AHL ahead of the trade deadline.
