After being scratched for the New York Rangers' last two games, Matt Rempe is returning to the lineup for Game 5 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Rempe slots back in with both Filip Chytil and Jonny Brodzinski out Monday for the Rangers. Chytil missed Game 4 due to illness and was replaced in the lineup by Brodzinkski. According to the team, Chytil is now dealing with some soreness.
The 24-year-old Czech forward missed all but 10 regular-season games this season due to a head injury that saw him placed on long-term injured reserve. The Rangers do not believe that any of his recent symptoms are related to that injury.
Rempe, 21, has appeared in six games over the playoffs, recording one goal. In 17 games over the regular season, he had a goal and an assist.
Game 5, where the Rangers can sweep the Hurricanes, can be seen at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
