The New York Rangers have avoided arbitration with defenceman Ryan Lindgren on a one-year, $4.5 million deal, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
The six-foot, left-handed blueliner appeared in 76 games with the Rangers during the 2023-2024 season and the upcoming campaign will mark his seventh year with the club.
After making his debut in January of 2019, Lindgren has gone on to appear in 333 NHL games, totalling 10 goals and 70 assists for 80 points, along with three goals and eight assists for 11 points in 43 playoff games.
Lindgren was originally selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round of the 2016 NHL draft but was later dealt to the Rangers as part of the trade that sent veteran forward Rick Nash to Boston in 2018.
