The New York Rangers have added some forward depth signing Ryan Carpenter to a one-year contract on Thursday.
Carpenter had three goals and nine assists in 67 games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Calgary Flames last season.
He was traded from Chicago to Calgary in a deadline deal on March 21 for a fifth-round pick in 2024.
The 31-year-old from Oviedo, Fla., has 26 goals and 43 assists in 308 career games with the San Jose Sharks, Vegas Golden Knights, Blackhawks and Flames.
