The Detroit Red Wings have signed Olli Maatta to a one-year, $2.25 million contract on Thursday.
The Finnish defenceman spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, who had acquired Maata on Oct. 4, 2020, from the Chicago Blackhawks.
The 22nd overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft amassed one goal and seven assists in 66 games for the Kings in 2021-22.
