Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin was fined $5,000 for a cross-check to the head of Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie.
The incident happened early in Tuesday's 3-1 Red Wings win as Oshie was cycling the puck along the half wall in the Detroit end of the ice. Larkin, while defending against Oshie, got his stick up in the Capitals forward's face, knocking him to the ice.
Larkin was given a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct on the play, after a review. Oshie was slow to get up initially but did remain in the game.
