Red Wings place Fabbri, Rasmussen in COVID-19 protocol

The Detroit Red Wings have placed forwards Robby Fabbri and Michael Rasmussen in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.

The Red Wings are scheduled to play in Carolina on Thursday with the Hurricanes saying they are set to return after having a game postponed because of COVID-19 issues on Tuesday.

Fabbri signed a three-year, $12 million extension with the Red Wings on Monday. He has eight goals and six assists in 29 games this season.

Rasmussen has three goals and seven assists in 29 games.
