Detroit Red Wings winger Filip Zadina and New York Islanders forward Andy Andreoff cleared unconditional waivers Friday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported.
Both were waived Thursday for the purpose of contract terminations and are now unrestricted free agents.
Zadina, who was drafted sixth overall by the Red Wings in 2018, had 28 goals and 68 points in 190 NHL games over the course of five seasons.
The 23-year-old from Pardubice, Czechia, had two years remaining on his contract and was owed $4.56 million. Through his agent, he asked for a trade just before last month's draft. The Red Wings placed him on regular waivers Tuesday and he cleared.
Andreoff, 32, is a veteran of eight NHL seasons and has 27 points in 188 games with the Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers and Islanders. He was owed $762,500 for next season, the last of a two-year deal.
