The Chicago Blackhawks will host the St. Louis Blues in a Winter Classic game at Wrigley Field next season, according to a report by Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.
The game will mark the third time the game has been hosted by Chicago and the fifth time the Blackhawks have participated in the Winter Classic.
The Blackhawks previously played at Wrigley Field, home of baseball's Chicago Cubs, back in 2009 against the Detroit Red Wings. In 2019, the team hosted the Bruins at Notre Dame's college football stadium.
The club also played in the Winter Classic in 2015 (vs. Washington at National Park) and in 2017 (vs. St. Louis at Busch Stadium). The Blackhawks are 0-4 in the event so far.
This season's Winter Classic took place in Seattle between the Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Park.
