Ottawa has signed forward Nick Cousins to a one-year, $800,000 deal, the team announced Thursday.
Cousins, 31, won a Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers last season. In 69 regular season games with Florida, he recorded seven goals and eight assists. He added one assist in 12 playoff games during the Panthers' Cup-winning run.
The Belleville, Ont., native has 71 goals and 109 assists over 592 career games with the Panthers, Nashville Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, Arizona Coyotes and Philadelphia Flyers.
