The San Jose Sharks will be without captain Logan Couture for the start of training camp as he is dealing with a lower-body injury and is considered week-to-week.
Couture told Marisa Ingemi of the San Francisco Chronicle that the injury happened over the summer while he was training.
The veteran forward has played his entire 14-year NHL career with the Sharks and was named team captain to start the 2019-20 season. He played in all 82 games for the Sharks last season and was second on the team in both goals (27) and points (67).
He has 323 goals and 700 points in 927 career games for the Sharks.
San Jose struggled last season, finishing seventh in the Pacific Division with a record of 22-44-16.
