The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenceman Connor Clifton to a three-year, $10-million deal, the club announced Saturday.
Clifton, 28, established career highs in games played (78), goals (five), assists (18), points (23) and plus/minus (plus-20) last season with the league-leading Boston Bruins.
Clifton was the second defenceman signed by the Sabres on Saturday after they inked former Colorado Avalanche blue-liner Erik Johnson earlier.
Clifton has 10 goals and 33 assists for 43 points in 232 career games with the Bruins.
