The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenceman Erik Johnson to a one-year, $3.25 million contract, Sportsnet's Jeff Marek reports.
The former first-overall pick will add Stanley Cup pedigree to a young Sabres squad after he won the championship with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022.
The 35-year-old notched eight points in 63 games for the Avs last season.
The Sabres also signed former Avalanche teammate Tyson Jost to a one-year deal on Saturday afternoon.
