The San Jose Sharks have signed defenceman Jimmy Schuldt to one-year, two-way deal, the team announced on Monday. The signing will hold an annual cap hit of $775,000 for the 2024-2025 season.
The six-foot-one, left-handed blueliner spent the past two seasons with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the AHL affiliate for the Seattle Kraken. During this tenure, Schuldt posted 56 points in 139 games. The 2022-2023 season saw him score eight goals along with 24 assists for 32 points in 71 games, all of which were career highs.
The 29-year-old, Minnetonka, Minn. native has amassed 108 points in 290 career AHL games across these past five seasons. He originally signed an entry level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights in April of 2019, where he suited up his NHL debut at the end of the 2018-2019 campaign.
