The Seattle Kraken have inked a one-year, two-way contract with 26-year-old forward Brandon Biro, the team announced on Monday. The deal will see an annual cap hit of $775,000 for the upcoming season.
The Sherwood Park, ALTA. native spent the majority of the 2023-2024 season with the Rochester Americans, the AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. His fourth year with the minor league club — but first as their alternate captain — Biro tallied 16 goals, 27 assists for 43 points through 59 games. He added five games with the Sabres during the season, notching two goals.
Prior to joining the Sabres organization at the end of the 2020-2021 season, Biro spent four years in the NCAA at Pennsylvania State University, where he donned captaincy for his senior year and recorded 116 points in 138 games throughout his collegiate career.
