The Ottawa Senators have acquired forward Clark Bishop from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenceman Max Lajoie, the club announced Tuesday.
Bishop, 24, spent the majority of the 2019-20 campaign with the Hurricanes’ AHL affiliate in Charlotte, posting 19 points through 53 games. He appeared in five games at the NHL level last season, posting one assist during that span.
Lajoie, a 23-year-old fifth-round pick from the 2016 NHL Draft, similarly spent most of last season in the AHL, compiling 17 points through 48 games, and suited up for six NHL games, as well.
Per the release, Bishop will be assigned to AHL Belleville.
