The Ottawa Senators have added to their goalie depth.
Ottawa acquired goaltender Jonas Johansson from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for future considerations, the team announced Friday.
Johansson was originally taken in the third round (61st overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He's spent time in Buffalo's, the Colorado Avalanche's, the Florida Panthers' and, most recently, Tampa Bay's organizations over the span of his career.
Last season with the Lightning, the 31-year-old posted a 3.29 goals-against average with an .884 save percentage.
Johansson is in the final year of a two-year contract he initially signed with Tampa that carries a $1.25-million cap hit.
