Senators acquire LW Fabian Zetterlund from Sharks

The Ottawa Senators added some offence just before Friday's NHL deadline.

The Senators acquired Swedish winger Fabian Zetterlund from the San Jose Sharks, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.

The Sharks get forwards Noah Gregor and Zack Ostapchuk along with a second-round pick in 2025, while the Senators get minor-league forward Tristen Robins and a fourth-round pick.

Zetterlund, 25, has 17 goals and 19 assists in 64 games with the Sharks this season. He has 50 goals and 61 assists in 227 career games for the Sharks.

Zetterlund becomes an RFA this summer. He has a cap hit of $1.45 million this season.

It was the second deal of the day for the Senators, who acquired talented centre Dylan Cozens in a multi-player trade with the Buffalo Sabres earlier in the day

Ostapchuk has one goal and three assists in 43 games with Ottawa this season, while Gregor has four goals and two assists in 40 games.
