The Ottawa Senators will be without forward Josh Norris for at least the next three games.
Norris left Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers after the team pulled him for precautionary reasons.
Though the Senators didn't provide any other information, Norris did trip and land on the ice, face-first, in the first period. He left the bench shortly after but did return.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Wednesday that Norris won't play this weekend, which means he'll miss Thursday's game against the Boston Bruins, as well as Saturday's contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Sunday's against the Utah Hockey Club.
Norris, 25, is having a bounce-back season after being plagued with various injuries over the past few years. He has 17 markers and 27 points in 48 games, second in goals to only captain Brady Tkachuk (18).
After hitting career-highs in goals (35) and points (55) during the 2021-22 season, Norris suffered through shoulder injuries the following two years. He played just eight games in 2022-23 before a necessary shoulder surgery ended his season, and underwent another shoulder surgery after playing 55 games in 2023-24.
The Senators currently sit in the Eastern Conference's first wild-card spot, the first time they've been in a playoff position this late in the season since 2017.
