Ottawa Senators defenceman Jakob Chychrun will be sidelined "a couple weeks" and Ridly Greig is out for the season, coach D.J. Smith told reporters on Saturday.
Chychrun left Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning after falling awkwardly into the boards with what is being called a lower-body injury.
Chychrun, 24, has two goals and three assists for five points in 12 games since coming over from the Coyotes in a March 1 trade.
Greig suffered an injury to his sternum in the same game against the Lightning.
Greig, 20, was the Senators' first-round pick, 28th overall, in 2020. In this, his first season with the Senators, he had one goal and five assists for six points in 16 games.
