Ottawa Senators goalie Matt Murray was lifted from Tuesday’s loss to the St. Louis Blues with an injury.
Murray was replaced by Anton Forsberg midway through the third period after allowing his fourth goal of the game. On that goal, Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist buried a backdoor pass to score then tripped over Murray — landing on the goalie’s back and shoulder.
The team didn’t have any other information on Murray’s injury after the game.
The Blues added a fifth goal into an empty net and won 5-2.
The 27-year-old has turned his season around since being demoted to the AHL in late 2021. Since returning to the NHL in January, Murray entered play Tuesday with a 5-3-2 record and .937 save percentage in 10 starts.
