The Ottawa Senators re-assigned forwards Angus Crookshank and Jiri Smejkal to the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League on Sunday.
Crookshank has one goal and one assist in seven games with Ottawa this season. He has recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 24 games with Belleville.
The 24-year-old from North Vancouver, B.C., was drafted in the fifth round, 126th overall, by Ottawa in 2018.
Smejkal registered one assist in nine games with Ottawa. He also has three goals and six assists in 19 games with Belleville. The 27-year-old from Ceske Budejovice, Czechia, signed as an undrafted free agent with Ottawa in May 2023.
Ottawa (14-21-0) has lost three consecutive games and is last in the Eastern Conference with 28 points. The Senators next play Tuesday on the road against the Calgary Flames.
