The Ottawa Senators have recalled forward Matthew Highmore from the AHL's Belleville Senators and he is expected to make his season debut Thursday against the Vancouver Canucks, the team announced.
Highmore slots into the lineup in place of Zack MacEwan. In 9 games with Belleville this season, Highmore has two goals and five assists.
In other news, Senators defenceman Artem Zub took part in the team's warm-up Thursday as he works his way back from injury. The Russian has missed the past seven games with an upper-body injury. He has a goal and two assists in three games this season and has a chance to return to the lineup against the Canucks.
