The Ottawa Senators have selected Filip Nordberg with the 64th-overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
At six-foot-four and weighing over 200 pounds, Nordberg has the physical frame to make an NHL impact, though he was considered by many to be a raw prospect who would need further time to develop, making him an off-the-board choice for Round 2.
Last season, while playing for Sodertalje, a team in Sweden's premier under-20 league, Nordberg scored six goals and added 13 assists in 36 games.
Defensively, he consistently makes his presence felt with his physicality, though his willingness to engage with the body can at times leave him out of position.
