Ottawa Senators defenceman Thomas Chabot is expected to miss about two weeks with an upper-body injury, head coach D.J. Smith confirms.
With Chabot out of the lineup, recently signed defenceman Tyler Kleven will make his NHL debut when the Senators take on the Philadelphia Flyers Thursday.
Chabot appeared to suffer an apparent wrist injury during Monday's 5-2 victory over the Florida Panthers after getting hit by Nick Cousins. Chabot briefly returned after getting hit but did not play the final six minutes of the game.
Ottawa is already without newly-acquired defenceman Jakob Chychrun who is slated to miss two to three weeks with a hamstring injury.
Smith also announced that goaltender Cam Talbot will be available against Philadelphia after suffering an oblique injury he suffered back on March 6. He has a 15-14-1 record in 28 games for the Senators this season.
