As the Ottawa Senators face the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night, they must do so without Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris and Shane Pinto.
All three took part in the team's optional morning skate, but the club later confirmed to reporters that they would remain out.
Pinto wore a full-contact jersey after practising in a no-contact jersey Tuesday. The 24-year-old has missed three games with an upper-body injury.
Norris, 25, has missed five games with an upper-body injury.
Tkachuk has missed just one game after suffering a lower-body injury while playing for the U.S. at the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 25-year-old captain said Tuesday that he was "hopeful" he could play against Winnipeg.
Ottawa (29-24-4) sits two points behind the Columbus Blue Jackets for the final wild-card spot in the East.
Catch the Senators take on the West-leading Jets starting at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
