The Ottawa Senators have signed veteran forward David Perron to a two-year, $8 million contract, the team announced Monday.
Perron spent the past two years with the Detroit Red Wings and had 47 points (17 goals and 30 assists) in 76 games this season.
The 36-year-old from Sherbrooke, Que., was drafted in the first round, 26th overall, by the St. Louis Blues in 2007.
He has played 1,131 regular-season games with 768 points (310 goals and 458 assists) over 17 seasons with the Blues, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, Vegas Golden Knights and Red Wings.
Perron captured the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019.
