The Ottawa Senators' playoff push faces a tough test as star goalkeeper Linus Ullmark remains on the bench.
On Sunday, Senators head coach Travis Green told reporters the team's star netminder is out week-to-week with a back injury.
The 31-year-old left after the first period during Ottawa's 3-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 22 with back tightness.
Acquired by the Senators from the Boston Bruins in June, Ullmark has a 12-7-2 record with a .915 save percentage and 2.38 goals-against average this season.
Additionally, defenceman Travis Hamonic will be out for two to four weeks with an injury, according to The Athletic's Julian McKenzie.
The Manitoba native last played during a 4-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Friday where he had 16:45 of ice time.
The 35-year-old blueliner has three assists in 37 games this season while averaging 17:25 of ice time.
