Seven players and head coach Bob Boughner from the San Jose Sharks have returned to the active roster from COVID-19 protocol.
The players returning are Kevin Lablanc, Erik Karlsson, Timo Meier, Jake Middleton, Matt Nieto, Radim Simek and Marc-Edouard Vlasic. Boughner, Karlsson, Middleton, Nieto, Simek and Vlasic were all placed into COVID protocol before an Oct. 30 game against the Winnipeg Jets and have been out of action ever since.
Sharks assistant coach John MacLean served as head coach in Boughner’s absence, with assistant coach of development Mike Ricci also stepping behind the bench.
The Sharks, 7-5-1 overall, went 3-3-0 since seven players were placed into COVID-19 protocol on Oct. 30.
