Sharks' Kevin Labanc to have hearing for slew-footing Blues' Tyler Bozak

Check this out, as Sharks forward Kevin lebanc gets two minutes for this dangerous trip on Blues’ Tyler Bozak, who appeared to be okay after smashing hard into the boards.

San Jose Sharks forward Kevin Labanc will have a hearing for slew-footing St. Louis Blues forward Tyler Bozak, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Friday.

The incident occurred in the first period of the Blues' win Thursday. As Bozak and Labanc chased a puck towards the boards, Labanc's legs took Bozak's legs out and both players slid hard into the boards. Labanc was given a two-minute penalty for tripping and Bozak remained in the game, but skated a team-low 8:45 of ice time.

The Sharks return to the ice Saturday when they host Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.
